Doug has been doing gymnastics since he was four years old. He quickly progressed and started competing for USAG and college level gymnastics. He eventually became a gym owner and a well known coach through out the nation. Doug has been the state director for Virginia mens gymnastics for 18 years and is also a nationally ranked judge. Doug has created successful programs that has resulted in taking countless athletes to national championships and getting student-athletes college scholarships. Doug takes great pride in making any kid feel special and like they can do everything while providing a fun and safe atmosphere.
Colleen came to Gym Quest when it first opened back in 2001. She started doing part time in the gym but quickly went to full time when she fell in love with the sport and its athletes. Colleen has been a girls team coach as well as a boys team coach. But her passion to teach little ones the foundation for gymnastics brought her to being a class coach as well as a team coach. In 2012 she brought the well known Xcel Program to Gym Quest. The program offers gymnastics opportunity to a wider range of kids while still being a part of USA Gymnastics. Colleen also partnered with RCS, a cheerleading team that caters to special needs children. She specializes in teachig athletes how to overcome mental blocks of all sorts. Colleen creates a positive place to bring kids of all ages.
